Setting Up Enterprise SSO Integration

This guide walks you through the process of configuring Enterprise Single Sign-On (SSO) for your organisation. SSO allows your team members to access your Askable account using their existing corporate credentials.

Prerequisites

  • Enterprise customer who has access Enterprise SSO (talk to your account manager)

  • Team Admin access to your Askable account

  • Access to your organisation's identity provider (IdP)

Available SSO Options

  • Microsoft Azure AD (OAuth 2.0)

  • Microsoft Entra ID (WS-Fed)

  • Custom SAML

Setup Instructions

1. Access SSO Settings

  1. Navigate to your Team Settings

  2. Select "Enterprise SSO" from the left sidebar

2. Initialise New Connection

  1. Click the "Add new connection" button

  2. Select your preferred SSO method from the available options

3. Configure SSO Settings

For Custom SAML configuration, you'll need to provide:

  • Entity ID: Your identity provider's entity identifier

  • IdP metadata URL: The URL provided by your identity provider

  • Email key attribute: The SAML token attribute containing the user's email (defaults to 'email')

  • Home realm domains: List of domains for SSO authentication, separated by commas

  • ACS URL: Copy the provided URL (https://auth.askable.com/login/saml/callback) to your IdP setup

  • Please not signed SAML requests are not currently supported

4. Enable the Connection

  1. Ensure the "Enabled" toggle is switched on

  2. Click "Save" to apply your configuration

5. Test the Integration

๐Ÿ“ฃ Follow these steps carefully to avoid getting locked out of your account.

  1. Open a new incognito/private browser window

    • Do not log out of your current session

    • Keep your authenticated session active in case you need to disable the integration

  2. Navigate to the Askable login page

  3. Attempt to log in using your SSO-configured domain

  4. Verify that you are successfully authenticated and redirected to the Askable application

Troubleshooting

If the SSO integration fails:

  1. Return to your active session

  2. Navigate back to Enterprise SSO settings

  3. Either:

    • Adjust the configuration settings, or

    • Disable the integration temporarily to restore email login
