Why do I need to add a Full Name Question in my study?

A guide to setting up your unmoderated study accurately

Updated over a week ago

Why do I need to ask for participants' names?

When running an Unmoderated Study on Askable, whether a Survey or Online Task, Askable recommends clients to ask for a Full Name Question within the study itself to identify who has or hasn’t completed the task.

This is so you can cross-check your responses between the tool you’re using and Askable so you’re only paying for those who have completed the task in full.

You can choose to ask for their Name as displayed on Askable, or their First name plus the initial of their surname. E.g. John S

We recommend you do this to save you from paying for any incomplete/false responses. In the rare cases where participants has abandoned or skipped through the questions, you may "Pause their payments" to have them redo it, or simply cancel them to replace with someone else. You get a 24 hour time frame to "check their submissions" after they have completed the task to ensure all is well. After the 24 hour window, they will receive their payments.
