Askable Sessions Demo
⚠️ This is an unsupported experimental usage of Askable Sessions. User discretion is advised.
If you're just looking to test what the call functionality is like, is to continue testing on sessions.askable.com and choosing "new call".
If you're testing observer and participant links, we highly recommend using a private/incognito tab. Here's a step by step instructions to help based on role types.
Starting the call
Facilitator:
Have a Client account with Askable
Go to sessions.askable.com and sign in
Start "new call" using button on page
Use (i) icon on bottom right to find session links for observers and participants.
Send those respective links directly to whoever else you want to test this with on a message platform of your choice.
If you choose to record the session, please save the room url as you'll need this later.
the url format would be https://sessions.askable.com/rooms/[RoomID]
Observer:
<important!> use in an incognito/private tab
This prevents cache issues if you have a Client account
Receive direct observer link from Facilitator for observers to watch the session
format would be https://sessions.askable.com/[RoomID]
Add name and click join. Wait in lobby to be let in by the facilitator.
Get accepted into session by Facilitator
You'll have your mic and camera forced to be off
You can leave notes for the facilitator
There are unlimited observer spots
Participant:
<important!> use a participant account
it won't work without this
Receive direct participant link from Facilitator to join the session
format would be https://my.askable.com/askable-sessions/[RoomID]
Get accepted into session by Facilitator
you can write messages to the Facilitator
Retrieving the session recording
Reach out to Askable Live Chat and send the URL of each session you saved earlier.
Live Chat will generate a shortlink of the session recording for you.
