After participants complete your study, you'll see a visualisation of their matrix responses, including:

  • An average rating chart showing how each statement scored across the scale

  • A response distribution table breaking down ratings per statement

  • Individual participant responses for each statement

Average rating per statement

This horizontal bar chart shows the average score for each statement, ranked from highest to lowest. It gives you a quick overview of which statements received the most favourable ratings and which may need attention.

How the rating is calculated

Each response is scored by its position on the scale (eg on a 5 point scale 1 = first option, 5 = last). The average across all responses gives the final rating, excluding N/A responses which you can toggle on/off.

Response distribution per statement

This table shows how participants rated each statement across the full scale. Each row displays the percentage of participants who selected each scale point (e.g. Strongly disagree through to Strongly agree), along with a weighted average score. You can toggle between percentage (%) and count (#) views using the buttons in the top-right corner of the table.

If your matrix includes an N/A option, you can toggle "Include N/A responses" on or off to adjust how averages are calculated.

Individual responses

Below the summary charts, you'll find a table showing how each participant rated every statement. This includes their selected scale value for each statement, how long they spent on the question, and when they completed it.
