Enter the full URL of the website you want participants to test (including https://)
Ensure the website is publicly accessible and doesn't require special login credentials
Verify the URL works correctly before publishing your study
Consider whether you need the participant to start at the homepage or a specific section of the site to complete the task.

Writing your live website test task instructions
When creating your task, be clear and specific about what you want participants to accomplish. The task should be action-oriented and written in natural language that reflects how a real user would think about their goal. For example, "Find and add a pair of wireless headphones to your shopping cart" works better than vague instructions like "Look around the electronics section."
Adding Task Details
The "Details" field gives you space to provide additional context or specific parameters for the task. Use this area to:
Clarify any constraints or requirements
Provide scenario information to make the task more realistic
Include specific details participants will need (like dates, quantities, etc.)
Good task details help participants understand exactly what they need to accomplish without giving away the specific solution path.

For most studies, enabling both recording options provides the most comprehensive view of the participant experience.
Note: Without recording enabled, your results will be limited to time-on-task metrics only. You won't be able to observe how participants interact with the website.
