The In Results column in the AI Moderated studies participant table shows the processing status of each participant's response. This status tracks whether a response has been reviewed, processed, and made available in your Ask AI tools — including querying responses and generating thematic analysis.
How it works
When a participant completes an AI moderated interview, their response goes through an automated review process. This ensures only quality responses are included in your Ask AI data and AI Analysis.
Most responses will move through this process automatically without any action required from you. In some cases, you may be asked to manually review a response before it's included.
Status definitions
Reviewing response
The response is currently being reviewed. This is the first step in the process and happens automatically after a participant completes their interview.
Manual review required
The response has been flagged during the review process and requires your input. You have 24 hours to review the response before it is automatically included or excluded based on the participant's quality score.
What to do:
Watch the participant's response from the participant table or individual responses tab
Decide whether the response should be included or excluded from your Ask AI data
Use the status action to Include or Exclude the response
If you don't take action within 24 hours:
Participants with a high quality score will be automatically included
Participants with a lower quality score will be automatically excluded
Analysing transcript
The response has passed review and the transcript is being analysed and processed into your Ask AI tools. This step happens automatically and typically completes within a few minutes.
Included in results
The response has been processed and is now available in your Ask AI tools. You can query this response and it will be included when generating thematic analysis.
If you decide you no longer want this response in your results, you can manually Exclude from results on the participant table.
Excluded from results
The response has been excluded and will not appear in Ask AI queries or AI analysis. A response can be excluded either automatically during the review process or manually by you.
If you'd like to add this response back into your results, you can manually Include in results on the participant table. The response will then be processed and added to your Ask AI data.
Processing failed
Something went wrong while processing/analysing the transcript. This is uncommon and typically resolves on a retry. If you see this status persist, contact support for assistance.
