You can run any Askable study with your own participants, such as your customers, members or users, instead of the Askable panel. This is called BYO (bring your own). You handle the outreach; Askable handles scheduling, screening, messaging, agreements, incentive payments and secure data storage.
How it works
When setting up your study, choose to recruit from your own audience instead of the Askable panel.
Complete the rest of your setup and submit. BYO studies go through the same review as panel studies.
Once your study is live, copy your study's invite link and share it through your own channels: email campaigns, SMS, in-product banners, community groups.
From there it runs like any other study. You shortlist, invite, schedule and the participants get paid through Askable.
Test your link before sharing it. Open it in an incognito window once your study is live and confirm it lands on your study's application page.
How many people will convert?
Plan for roughly 10% of the people you contact to apply. Broadcasting to 100 customers typically gets you about 10 applications, so size your outreach list against your quota.
Customise the landing page
Team Admins can customise the BYO landing page copy so your customers see your brand context, not just Askable's. Generic copy works too, but a branded note helps conversion with your own customers.
FAQ
What information does Askable collect from my participants?
During the BYO application flow: email, full name, location, phone, gender, date of birth, languages, session preferences, camera and microphone consent, your screener answers, and their preferred payment method. Required fields allow "prefer not to say" style non-answers.
Do you store data on people I invite who don't apply?
No. Askable only holds information on people who accept your invitation and apply.
Will Askable market to my participants?
While your project runs, they only receive study and payment notifications. They're offered the option to join the wider Askable panel, and only get broader communications if they opt in.
How do incentives work?
