How to integrate a Third Party Usability Testing Tool on Askable

Askable provides a platform for you to run & manage a Usability Test. Askable will recruit the participants based on your Study Setup and participants can be incentivised on Askable.

We recommend these Third Party Tools for you to input your raw designs or prototypes:

It's recommended that you explore & research on what's the best & most appropriate tool for what you are intending to test.

What if my company does not have a Usability Testing Tool?

Without access to a Usability Testing Tool, you may want to explore some of these workarounds. Bear in mind that these are workaround to still get insights from participants without the roadblock of a tool (or lack thereof).

1. Consider changing to Moderated Interview

While this is a significant pivot, we suggest running quick 30 minute interviews with participants where you can send them a link to your Prototype or website to speak out loud on. You can also have them interact & observe in real time.

This not only gives you a much more in depth & quality insight, but it's also much worth your money! (or credits)

2. Consider Everask

Similar to tools like Lookback, Askable offers a service called Everask. Have a look and choose to Submit your request via the website.

From there, a team member will reach out to help with your research needs. *This may not be the most suitable solution for your research.

3. Consider Survey

While a Survey cannot achieve the results a Usability Testing Tool can, you may be able to test simple designs in the form of Images in within a Survey. You can have participants elaborate or share feedback on a set image.

This means participants cannot perform tasks, speak out loud or record their screens.

4. Consider Askable Plus

With access to Askable Plus, you can tap into our community of researchers & tools to run your research. For more info, click here or speak to your Account Manager.

5. Consider investing on a Tool

After all, workarounds are workarounds. If you believe you, your research or your company will benefit off a Usability Testing Tool, we recommend including this into your Research Toolkit.
