About Survey or Task Links
Updated over a week ago

When creating a new Online Task or Survey, you will get to a dedicated section asking for the link. This is where you paste the URL of your Survey or Online Task.

🧰 Make sure your Survey/Task is...

  • Available to the public

  • Does not require a password or access request

  • Published & Live (not in preview mode)

  • Is built on a Survey Tool or Usability Testing Tool (documents or websites are not allowed)

Can I add multiple links to a Study?

If your Participant Selection method is Automated, the answer is No.

If you want the studies to be Automated, simply set up separate studies with the respective Screening options set up correctly so the system can invite anyone who is 100% eligible!

If you are Hand Picking participants, you can have multiple variation links to your Study.

This is often used for AB Testing different designs OR for testing with different demographics.

You can simply add a study variation and put your other link in, feel free to label it as you wish to make it clear

When this is done, you'll have the option to direct specific participants of your choice to the correct Variation upon inviting them.

Can I update my link later?

If your Study is Active, then you can update your link by adding it as a variation. Your original link will stay there as the Original Variation.

To avoid confusion, it's always best practice to submit your Study with your actual, most up to date link, rather than changing it later on. This ensures that all participants do get the correct link.

This is usually when there is something not compatible with the URL, so please check carefully if you are using URL variables as this can cause issues at times.

If you have not ticked the box to add the Full Name Question, you will also get an error.
