You may have situations where you'll require participants to complete a Homework Task as a compulsory or preliminary step before they join you for a Session (whether In-person or Remotely)
Homework Tasks can include:
A pre-Survey
Viewing a video / asset / document
Bringing along some documents / items / bills for the purpose of research
Creating a demo account on your platform
Others
Homework Tasks are self-managed on Askable at the moment
How to Set Up your Study with Homework Tasks
1. When setting up your Study, select the duration length that reflects the Session itself. Do not include the time that is required for participants to complete their Homework Tasks.
2. When you reach the Incentives section, select Premium Incentives to cover
for the Homework Task.
3. IF your Homework Task is more than 30 mins
- Select Premium Incentives
- Head into the Live Chat
- Provide your Study title + duration of homework task
- Proceed to submit your Study
- A team member will calculate the appropriate amount of credits to cater for a longer
homework task and set an incentive that pays the participants appropriately
4. Include a Screener Question saying "If chosen, you will be required to complete a Homework Task prior to the session, do you agree to complete this?" YES/NO
And just like that, you’re good to go!
How to Manage your Homework Tasks
1. After your Study is live, you can start shortlisting & inviting your participants.
2. Once everyone is Confirmed, you can choose to share the Homework Task either via Messages or by sending them an Email externally
Because Homework Tasks are self-managed, please ensure you are keeping track of each participants' progress on their homework tasks, and follow up as you see fit.
