What does "Help Requested" mean?

My participant is requesting for help in my Study, what do I do?

Help Requested means the participant has run into a problem with your task and is asking for your help. Check their message thread first; they've usually left a note explaining what went wrong.

This status only appears on surveys and online tasks.

How to resolve it

  1. Open the participant's chat in the Messages tab and read their note.

  2. Work through the issue with them directly. Problems usually sit in the third party tool you're using, where you have full visibility and access to that tool's support resources.

  3. Once it's resolved, the participant can continue and complete the task as normal.

If the issue can't be resolved

You have two options, and they differ in whether the participant is paid:

  • Cancel the participant (via the dropdown actions button on their row) and invite a replacement. A cancelled participant is not paid.

  • Mark as Complete if you'd like them paid anyway as a thank you for their time and effort.

Not sure which is fair? Message us on live chat and we'll help you decide.
