When you create your account, Askable automatically detects your location from your IP address so you get relevant opportunities. 📍 If it isn't recognising your location correctly, here's how to fix it.
Step 1: Disable any VPN
A VPN is the most common cause — it changes your apparent location and confuses the detection. Turn off any VPN (and, on Apple devices, iCloud Private Relay) before trying again. See Use of VPN Connections.
Step 2: Try a different network or device
Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, or try another device/browser, to rule out a network or ad-blocker issue.
Step 3: Contact support
If it still won't recognise your location, head to askable.com and use the Live Chat (bottom-right), or Help & support. Please include your name, email, phone number, and location, and describe the issue so the team can help. 😊
