Overview
Industry studies are additional paid studies run by Askable, covering industries such as retail, banking and travel. They're a simple way to take part in more studies, more often. You'll see them alongside regular studies in the app, and every industry study is clearly identified before you apply.
How industry studies work
Industry studies are run by Askable itself, rather than by a specific client. Taking part is optional, and you only need to opt in once. After that, industry studies stay available to you whenever they come up, and you're paid for them just like any other study.
You can opt in when you open an industry study in the app, or any time in Settings > Study options.
What you're agreeing to
When you opt in, Askable may:
Collect your responses and recordings, including audio, video, transcripts, and personal or sensitive information.
Sell and share this data with customers and other third parties, including overseas, for their own research and datasets.
Use your data to improve products and to train and validate AI models.
You can still take part in all other Askable studies whether you opt in or not. For the full detail, see our Participant Terms and Privacy Policy.
Turning industry studies off
You can opt out any time in Settings > Study options. Once you turn it off:
You'll no longer see or be able to take industry studies, and we'll stop collecting new data from you through them.
Data from studies you've already completed and been paid for stays with Askable, and may still be used, shared and sold.
You can opt back in at any time.
