How to apply for paid opportunities

Askable is a paid platform where you sign up for research and get paid for your opinion. πŸ€‘ Here's the whole flow, start to finish.

Step 1 β€” Create an account at my.askable.com or via the mobile app, if you haven't already. See How do I join Askable?.

Step 2 β€” Apply in Explore. In the Explore tab, apply to opportunities relevant to you β€” think of it as an expression of interest. You'll answer a set of questions to work out if you're the right fit. Answer honestly and accurately, in line with our Honesty Policy.

Step 3 β€” Wait for review. ⏳ Researchers review applications. Studies need many different voices and demographics, so there are no right or wrong answers β€” just be honest.

Step 4 β€” Get invited (maybe). If you match, you may be selected and notified (set your notification method in Profile).

Being invited doesn't guarantee your spot β€” others may be invited too, and spots are limited. See I am on the waitlist.

Step 5 β€” Start or schedule. Begin a task right away, or accept the scheduled interview time. Note whether an interview is remote or in person and lock it into your calendar.

⭐ If a task takes you outside Askable, come back and mark it complete within 120 minutes of starting, or you may not be paid.

Step 6 β€” Attend. Join at the agreed time per the opportunity's instructions. For tips, see the Participant Etiquette Guide; to find your link, see I have not received my link. Third-party sessions send the link via Messages.

Step 7 β€” Get paid 😎 β€” see How to get paid on Askable.

πŸ€” FAQ

Why am I asked so many screening questions?

Some studies are more complex and need a few more questions to find the perfect match. We keep it as short as we can β€” more detail just helps make sure you're right for the study. See Why am I asked so many questions?.

Why didn't I get selected?

It's usually about study criteria and timing, not you β€” see Why am I ineligible. A complete profile improves your odds: How to Boost your Profile.
