Keeping your payment details accurate means we can pay you quickly and smoothly. It's your responsibility as a participant to keep these up to date — incorrect details can cause a failed payment and delays.
How to update it
Log in to Askable.
Go to the Profile tab (person icon).
Select Rewards → Reward Method.
Choose how you'd like to be paid — PayPal or E-Gift Card (the only two options; availability depends on your country).
Save your information.
⚠️ Double-check your details before saving. Payments sent to an incorrect PayPal email are not recoverable — once corrected, future payments go through smoothly.
FAQs
Can I be paid via bank transfer?
No — PayPal and E-Gift Card are the only two payment methods.
I don't have PayPal
It's quick and free to sign up for a PayPal account. 💡 If you're creating a new account, do it a couple of days before you expect to be paid, so it has time to process.
Can Askable update my payment information for me?
No — for your account security, we can't change your payment details for you. You'll need to update them yourself using the steps above.
For PayPal specifically, your details are verified on PayPal's platform, which we don't have access to. If you hit a verification issue, contact PayPal support — see How do I verify my PayPal account?
My payment went to an old / wrong account
Update the email now so future payments are correct. For a payment already sent to a wrong address, contact Help & support with your study name and date — though note payments to an incorrect PayPal email can't be recovered.
I want to switch between PayPal and e-gift card
Change it any time in Profile → Rewards → Reward Method (where both are available in your country).
