How the Exclusion Period works
How the Exclusion Period works

You can set your study up to not speak to repeat participants

Updated over a week ago

When setting up a Study, you will reach the Audience Page > Demographic Filters and see the option to set an Exclusion Period.

If you have set a exclusion setting on your Study, this will help with avoiding any participant that you or your Team have spoken to recently.

The purpose of this feature is to help avoid bias OR to avoid mistakenly test the same designs with a participant who has already seen it.

How it works

The system stops the participant you have invited (that has completed a study from your team in the past 3 / 6 /12 months) from accepting your invitation.

You will be able to invite them, but they can't Confirm. In an attempt to confirm, they will be informed that they are ineligible due to a recent involvement in a similar research.

Participants can very much still apply to any Study publicly listed on Askable.

This means you are likely to see familiar names, as they don't actually know if studies belong to the same company, client, or research.

Don't worry!
Simply invite those you see fit and safely allow the system catch any repeats.
