Before you join
Update to the latest Askable app.
Allow the app camera and microphone access (your phone's Settings > Askable) — required for moderated interviews so the researcher can see and hear you.
Find a quiet spot with a stable connection. If using Bluetooth headphones, connect them before the call.
Joining a call
Tap the scheduled opportunity in My opportunities.
Tap Join call.
The researcher needs to start the call before you can join — you'll see "Waiting for call to start" until they do. If they've already started, you'll join straight away.
On the call
The buttons along the bottom (left to right) are: Camera on/off, Mute/unmute, Screen share, Settings, End call.
Sharing your screen on mobile
See Screen sharing in Askable Sessions for the iOS/Android steps (remember to enable Do Not Disturb so notifications aren't recorded).
Which opportunities work on mobile?
Video sessions and AI interviews work well on mobile. Some interactive website tasks are better on a desktop/laptop — if a task won't load on your phone, try a computer. See The Task/Survey won't load.
