I was paid a different incentive amount

You have been paid a different amount from what is shown in the study description

If your reward doesn't match what you expected, don't worry — there are a few normal reasons for this, and we're always happy to check a specific one for you.

The most common reason: the study changed after you applied

Research studies are ever-changing, and the incentive can be adjusted over time. The amount you received is the incentive that was advertised at the time you applied — which may differ from what's shown now.

Other reasons an amount can differ

  • Currency / region: e-gift cards may be issued in a different currency or denomination, which can look different once converted.

  • AI interviews & duration: for AI interviews the reward is for completing the interview, not an hourly rate — a session that runs a little longer than the estimate is still paid the advertised amount. See AI Moderated Interviews.

  • Partial / screened-out sessions: some studies pay a reduced amount if you only completed part of it.

"My reward says Pending $0"

A $0 or Pending amount usually means the reward is still being processed or confirmed and the final figure hasn't landed yet. Give it the normal window and check Profile → Rewards — see Payment timeline & reward status explained. If it stays at $0 after processing, contact us.
